Adaptation Futures 2018 marks the first time the conference is held on the African continent. We aim to use this setting to foreground developing country adaptation issues, to increase developing world participation, and to increase African participation specifically.

We invite you to support a truly representative global conference through the following options:

help build adaptive capacity in developing countries

Attendance grants will enable the participation of researchers and practitioners from Lower Income, Lower Middle Income and African countries to ensure that the conference provides a truly inclusive. platform to debate and formulate the adaptation solutions that will shape our collective future. Sponsoring an attendance grant is a unique opportunity to build capacity for sustainable and climate resilient development in the Global South.

Each grant covers travel, accommodation and attendance to the conference. Applications will be assessed by the conference Steering Committee in an equitable and transparent way. A minimum requirement for eligibility is an accepted abstract or specific contribution to a session.

liaise directly with researchers and practitioners in your sector

Adaptation Futures is committed to producing rich, interactive sessions that engage diverse participants. Sessions occur during the parallel session time slots and are part of the conference programme.

Session sponsors receive exposure in the conference programme and on the conference website. Signage at the session will indicate that your organisation is sponsoring the session.

Sponsoring a session enables you to engage deeply with the session team around a particular topic in your sector, tapping into the latest global thinking and experience.

Session sponsors can opt for greater involvement by sponsoring the session team costs such as travel, accommodation and conference registration. Additional contributions will receive enhanced visibility and branding opportunities.
