Adaptation Futures 2018 marks the first time the conference is held on the African continent. We aim to use this setting to foreground developing country adaptation issues, to increase developing world participation, and to increase African participation specifically.

SPONSOR ATTENDANCE GRANTS and build capacity for climate resilient development

Attendance grants will enable the participation of researchers and practitioners from Lower Income, Lower Middle Income and African countries to ensure that the conference provides an inclusive platform to debate and formulate the adaptation solutions that will shape our collective future. Sponsoring an attendance grant is a unique opportunity to build capacity for sustainable and climate resilient development in the Global South and to support a truly representative global conference.

Each grant will cover registration and accommodation at the conference, and potentially, travel to Cape Town, although, in order to increase the impact of the funding, we will appeal for some co-funding by applicants. Applications will be assessed by the conference Local Organising Committee in an equitable and transparent way. A minimum requirement for eligibility is an accepted abstract or specific contribution to a session.
